I just finished my rough draft! Now you might not find that as exciting as I do but I am so excited because until seminar last night I did not realize it was due today. I don't know where my head was this week but for some reason I just thought we had to turn in an outline. So I stayed up late last night and went at it again this morning and I finally finished. I still have a ways to go until I am happy with it but I think I got a pretty good start for my "rough" draft. It wasn't too hard to write because I had a decent start with prewriting and research. Plus the topic of sex ed really interests me. I just can't understand why we're still teaching abstinence-only programs in our school when it has been proven that they don't work. Let's give our kids an education. You wouldn't give someone a loaded gun but not teach them how to use it safely. Same concept here. Luckily, sex ed is starting to undergo some changes under the Obama administration. Well I think that's all for now because my child is screaming in my ear because I won't let her "type"
