So here we are again..It's tuesday night and I am frantically trying to finish all my schoolwork. This week was especially crazy for me but at least we are halfway through the term. WOOHOO! I keep trying to get everything done so I am not stuck finishing up on tuesday but it just hasn't worked out for me. Especially this week. My daughter was sick with roseola and an ear infection which made doing anything besides holding her nearly impossible. We also started remodeling our kitchen so we have no oven or stove top and our fridge has been moved to our dining room. We took most of the cabinets out so we have boxes of food in our living room. Fun stuff. It's going to be great once its finished but is a major pain at the moment. This week I am especially grateful for online classes because I don't know if I would've made it to campus classes. I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end because I am working towards a career in a field that I love.

Unit 4

Wow, we are almost halfway through this term. Woohoo! I can't believe how fast time is going-I really love these 10 week terms. They are much better than a whole semester. So, it looks like I'm supposed to be talking about citations and such. Boo! No, really they're not that bad I guess. I understand why we are supposed to use them. People really should get the credit for their hard work. I would be pretty unhappy if someone stole my work and passed it off as their own. I just don't like the formality of it all. I also feel that it is overly stressed in the academic world. I feel like we spend weeks talking about it in every single class. I get it already and I WILL cite my sources! Let's just quit talking about it puhlease.

Unit 3
Hello everyone. End of week 3 already. Where does time go? This week has been absolutely crazy for me. I have been working full time plus some which I have not done since before my daughter was born. She is almost a year now. I can't believe how exhausting it is and how hard it is to get everything done. That is why I am currently sitting here writing this at midnight instead of sleeping like I really wish I was doing. Working another double tomorrow..yuck but at least I get a day off on thursday. I cannot wait. Our weather is finally warming up so maybe I can get out of the house for some long overdue fresh air. I love online learning. I was pretty skeptical at first. I was worried about the quality of education and what I would actually get out of the classes. I've taken classes at a large University and it was fun to be in such a social setting, but I much prefer this. I am so happy that I decided to give it a chance. I love being able to sit at home in my pajamas and do my schoolwork. I don't have to worry about having a sitter because I don't have to go anywhere. I was anxious to get back to school after taking a few years off, but campus learning just wouldn't fit in my schedule right now. I love Kaplan and tell everyone that is considering online learning to give it a shot.

Unit 2

Hello everyone. Welcome to my first blog ever. This will be a short and sweet welcome message as my 10 month old is sitting here trying to "help me type." Just started to do some preliminary research for my paper. Looking forward to writing a paper that i can actually voice my opinion. on. See you all in class. Take care.
